8(a) and SDB status
LS3 entered the U.S. Small Business Administration 8(a) Program in December 2005. We will remain part of the 8(a) Program through December 2014. This vehicle allows government ordering activities a robust and rapid option to acquire and retain highly qualified professional services with minimal administrative effort through set-aside awards to our uniquely qualified and competent resources. The 8(a) Program - named for Section 8(a) of the Small Business Act - is a business development program created to help small disadvantaged businesses compete in the market place. It is also designed to assist such companies in gaining access to federal and private procurement markets. The focus of the program is to provide business development support, such as mentoring, procurement assistance, business counseling, training, financial assistance, surety bonding and other management and technical assistance. The goal, however, is to prepare small disadvantaged firms for procurement and other business opportunities. The SBA 8(a) Program Web Site, offers additional information that aid Federal Program Managers and Contracting Officers resources and points of contact to further investigation this acquisition vehicle. Through minor justification and short form ordering processes, our resources can be meeting your program needs within a matter of weeks, not months!GSA IT Schedule 70
LS3 was awarded this Government Wide Acquisition Contract from GSA in December 2008. Our award includes more than the commonly recognized Special Item Number (SIN) 132-51 category, but also includes the unique HSPD-12 certified integration service qualification captured within SIN 132-62. Our certification letter can be seen here.read details
LS3 Technologies is one of only a handful of fully qualified HSPD-12 or Personal Identity Verification (PIV) Integration organizations. Moreover, LS3 has remained current in its HSPD-12 practices, and continues to provide the very same level of competency and capability that accompanied our receipt of this distinctive qualification in our Schedule 70. Ordering activities that conduct due diligence will quickly come to the realization that most of our competitors in this marketspace had capabilities that led GSA to a determination that a SIN 132-62 qualification may have been warranted, however do NOT continue to possess those capabilities today. It is also important to note that the SIN 132-62 capability in many companies is for the resale of products, and as such many do not possess the systems integration skills or capabilities of LS3 as part of their business offering. This GWAC vehicle has pre-negotiated rates that simplify your ordering process and allow for directed and assisted contract awards to engage our services. In combination with our 8(a) status, Program Managers are able to combine this schedule with a set-aside award using pre-negotiated rates and further expedite ordering activities to get resources on the ground right away.
